Student impressions

Visiting Osijek as a part of the Comenius multilateral project was my first abroad from Bulgaria. I loved the whole experience so much! Nevertheless being one of the youngest of the meeting, I met a lot of wonderful new friends from Croatia and from every country that participated on the meeting. It was a surprise for me how easy was to communicate in English with the people and even in strange mixture of Bulgarian-Croatian language. I didn’t know how close is my native language to the Croatian one. My host family was so lovely! I love Croatia!

I can bravely say that this journey to Osijek was absolutely great. The Croatian hospitality was warm and friendly. The programmes were nice and interesting, except Vukovar. That wasn’t nice to see, but thus we learnt a lot about the Croatian Homeland War. Every day was nice, firendly and interesting int hat area, also the food. We are glad to have this great friendsip with the Osijek school. We hope to see each other in the furure again.

First of all I would like to say that I had got unbelievable impressons from Croatia.
This project let me not only to see the country but to meet new friends (Veronika, Maria, Armando). People in Croatia are very good, kind, hospital.
Secondly, I liked Osijek and Vukovar. It gave me a lot of new impressions. I visited interesting school-‘’Gratevinska geoteska shkola’’. It was nice to learn some Croatian words and to get certificate. I gave interview for the first time. Also it was interesting to see places where the war took place. The people told me about the war without any hatred to Serbia. I enjoy traveling and practicing my English .
However, it would be nice to have party for students, to know better each other during dances and of course it was a pity we didn’t see Plitvica National park.
All in all, I enjoyed this trip very much. I liked a lot of things: food, surrounding, towns I saw. I saw different culture. I was happy to be in this country.

I think that the exchange program to Croatia was very profitable. We learned many Croatian words, danced some Croatian dances and studied the Croatian culture. We were also we taught about the history of the city Vukovar, which was attacked in the fall of 1991. One of the most interesting moments of the exchange program was when we made letters and ships out of paper and seeds. The letters later spelled: National Parks of Europe. We tried Croatian food and experienced a wonderful adventure during our stay. Our journey by plane was a little less pleasant, because our teacher’s luggage got lost and our plane was delayed. Luckily, the luggage was recovered and we arrived safely in Osijek. We met our old friends, who had come to Poland previously, and we made some new friends. I really enjoyed our stay in Croatia and hope that I may experience many more exchange programs like this one.
