Student impressions

I was very glad that I took part in the Comenius  program. I learned about the cultures of the countries that the other students were from. I liked the fact that through spending so much time together we could integrate. I hope that the next student exchange will be just as successful!

I would like to say I really enjoyed this tour. I had a good time there, in Wroclaw. I saw a lot of good things. I loved this city and like the people to whom I lived, loved their food. I was very pleased to see the mayor of this wonderful city, he retold a lit bit about Wroclaw. Of course, it was a lit bit short visit. I wish we had more time for this visit. Maybe the reason was, that everything was great. I liked very much.

This trip was a quite big experience to all four of us – me, AgnÄ?, Jonas and Karolis, even if we only spent five days in Wroclaw. I remember how nervous we were before meeting our new families. When my new sister and mom came to station to take me and told me about themselves, about the school and so on, I instantly calmed down and thought ,,What was I nervous about?‘‘ . Seriously! And those couple of days we were in their school was brilliant! My favourite part of whole trip was...people. People I‘ve met there. All of them were really lovely and friendly. I hope I‘ll stay in touch with some of them and communicate with them on the internet. The second thing I loved is Wroclaw at night. It looks so fabulous! Many local students told me this, so I couldn‘t wait for it gets dark to make sure! And all I can say, lights ,their reflections in water under bridges and gothic builings impressed me. And the last day before we had to leave Wroclaw we visited national park. The hardest thing was climbing up the mountains. I think it was quite challenging ,but still very fun and healthy for us and our muscles! I was quite thoughtful about everything and everyone after those hours and I wanted to stay for a couple of days more but whatever ,because trip was awesome and city and its buildings were wonderful.

When I came back home my parents asked about my Polish family. I answered that my Polish family was really great. I saw a lot of beautiful things in Poland. First I realy like the Wroclaw center and this city at night. There are a lot of good teachers and very friendly students at their school. Their school isn't big, but it is beautiful. I most like dining room because there everyone just sit and talking. National park is beautiful, great and also big. As we had to climb high, but then we were at the top,we have enjoyed views. This park was really interesting. So I really was glad that I was in Poland with these nice people.

I was happy I have an opportunity to travel with my teachers and other students. Of course I was a little bit afraid in what family I am going to live, but when we arrived and I met Samuel, I realised I was too afraid of that. So it was nice to live in American family, they were very friendly with me. Everything was great. there. I enjoyed the school, wonderful city Wroclaw, the hiking in national park. Of course, I liked the performance of fountains. It was really fantastic. And if really the travelling was tiring ,but I liked it very much.

For the few days I have been in Poland I was able to see and create an image in my mind about the Polish culture, lifestyle, nature and character in general. I liked my host student and his family very much. We did well with them and always had what to do in our free time. The workshops at the school were interesting and not too long.
Poland also has great and well preserved nature as we saw it at The Gory Stolowe National Park. The meeting in Poland provided valuable experience and left me with great impressions.

The mobility to Wroclaw gave me an useful experience. I learned more about the Polish culture and I made a lot of new friends. Now I know why people say that Wroclaw is a little Venice. The architecture and the beauty of this town are like Venice’s. The time I have spent in Wroclaw with my new friends was the most amazing time I have ever had in my life.

It was a nice journey from Berlin to Wroclaw on the 26th October,2011. Our host families were waiting us at the hotel. We were late and excited too. It was the first time we were away from our families but in the morning we had a perfect breakfast with Martyna and Adrian’s family.
The first day on the school was a bit exciting because we were strangers but Ewa, the English Teacher broke the ice between us. With the all partner students we became a unique group.
On the day of presentations we were tense because being on the stage was unusual. But luckily our turn was good. On Saturday the excursion to the mountain was wonderful. We took lots of photos and chatted with the partner students and their teachers too.
Thanks for everything to you.

My first impressions of the city – beautiful and somewhat similar to Zagreb (especially regarding many coffee shops).
My hostess Agata and her mother welcomed me nicely into their home.
Dominic Savio school was much bigger than ours, and they said “it’s a small one”. I’ve noticed their dress code and religious values so I presumed the school is pretty hard.
In our workshop I had the chance of meeting other students from our Comenius partners and it was a great fun, especially because many of them couldn’t remember my name so I was known as Mislav, Miroslav, MIšikav….. Eventually Mislav stuck around.

Wroclav is a historical city, and it really looks that way. I was impressed by its past, nice people and architecture, giving every building its story.
My hosts were really nice and hospitable, always asking me how I was doing, if the food was alright, if I missed my parents…
It was interesting to find out that many Polish private schools spend their summer in Dubrovnik. I also invited them to Zagreb so that they can see some of our customs, especially our sense of humour.

At first I was a little afraid of the trip, overthinking about people I’ll meet and being unsure of my English skills. Fortunately, everything turned out for the best. My host Wiktoria was great, we talked a lot about everything, went out and had a lot of fun.
Usually we would walk around the town every evening, sightseeing. Good thing I brought my camera, so I could capture every beautiful moment. I invited Wictoria to Zagreb and I hope she will visit me.
This was a wonderful experience and I’ll remember it forever.

I really enjoyed this experience because I met new people, visiting new places and I realized the importance of English.
